The project
The original entrance steps were removed and the area stripped back so the structure beneath could be properly assessed. Ballast and concrete were then used to form a stronger, more dependable foundation for the rebuild.
The full flight was then rebuilt right up to the doorway. The upper landing was finished using the customer's chosen paving, completing a safer and more secure entrance for employees.
Together with the front view above, these photographs record the entrance from three viewpoints before removal begins, without identifying the business or its exact address.

The old steps were removed, the entrance was excavated and a ballast-and-concrete foundation was installed before the lower three steps were rebuilt.

The full stepped structure is now complete. Fresh brickwork forms the risers, the entrance has been carried through to the door and the upper landing uses the paving chosen by the customer.

These photographs show the original entrance, the groundworks, the rebuild taking shape and the finished steps. The business and its exact address remain private.
